Dr. Murat Türk has joined Professor Marcus Maurer to discuss biomarkers in chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU), focusing on immunoglobulin E (IgE) in particular. They emphasise the importance of using IgE testing appropriately in the treatment of CSU; as a prognostic parameter rather than a diagnostic technique. The discussion expands into a comparison between basophil testing and IgE testing and explores the implications of these results for patients with CSU.
